My Top 5 Must Watch Christmas Movies

It’s Christmas time again. Time to give all your presents and love to those people you care about. Time to make peace with the people you hate (yeah right). Time to have your favorite home cooked meals be prepared on the table. Time to snuggle by the fire while drinking hot chocolate or sit on the couch while watching your favorite Christmas movies.

Internship, Please

One requirement for us to graduate is to complete our on-the-job training or OJT. We have to complete a three-hundred hour internship or job and submit paperwork based on the company that we will be working at.

Currently, some of my block mates are already having their internship and others, including myself, aren’t yet successful in finding one. Time is running, I know that, but it’s not like I’m not trying what I could to obtain an internship. I’m doing what I could do while I take care of other important stuff. This actually is a bit of a pressure for me.

Why I Hate Morning Classes

It’s the first day of classes for our last semester in college today, and there is a super typhoon making its way through Philippines, Typhoon Yolanda. It’s a signal no. 2 and all levels from pre-school to high school plus some universities and colleges are already suspended, but not our school. Not University of Santo Tomas.

My Pokémon Team

Many of us dreamed that the world of Pokémon was real and we could have the chance to catch and train our own Pokémons. I am one of those dreamers, though I know that catching Pokémons is one of the things that are very impossible to happen. But if Pokémons are real, here is my own personal Pokémon team:

Time to Scare or Be Scared

It’s Halloween again and it’s all about dressing up, trick-or-treating, parties, and most especially, scary stuff.

I always feel bittersweet about Halloween, for the reason that I have a good imagination that makes me think of frightening things especially after hearing or watching scary stories, movies, etc. (I’m afraid of being alone in the dark) and at the same time, I feel excited about seeing people being creative with their make-ups and costumes. I like wearing costumes, though I don’t really go to costume-related events, such as costume parties and cosplay conventions. And I also like to try trick-or-treating. I want to experience going from one house to another and expect to receive either some candies or some frights. Too bad it isn’t a common tradition in most of the areas here in the Philippines, plus I’m already too old for that anyway.

• Can be immature and mature at the same time

My Very First Job Interview

I had my very first on-the-job training interview yesterday. Of course, I was pretty nervous. It was a bit scary if it’s your first time and I was asking myself “what should I say?”, “Am I doing this right?”, and other thoughts like those. I just don’t know what I’ll say or if I was saying right the right things.

The Dark Joker

Dressed like this for last year’s Halloween, just to simply scare people. Fortunately, I succeeded in scaring everyone at our house and some people passing by in front of our gate while I sat there outside.

And by the way, I did this to myself for just an hour with using an eyeliner and some face powder only.

2013, Fall Out Boy came back from a three year hiatus, released a new album, Save Rock and Roll, and toured around the world again, which I actually was a part of because I came to see them in their concert here at Manila (a great night for me).

MyUSTe, Give Me Something Good

According to the announcements that I have been reading, the University of Santo Tomas will be releasing the students’ grades on October 19-22. The UST students can view their grades on their MyUSTe Student Portal account.

Well, I have to visit my account again to find out how I did this semester. Unlike from the previous semesters, I’m feeling a bit more confident in passing all my courses, though I still feel a little fear about the “what ifs”, like “what if it was still wasn’t enough to pass”. Still, I’m really trying not to worry about that right now.

Pokemon: Origins - Take Us Back to Kanto

Probably many of us have played the original Pokémon game (Pokémon Red/Blue/Green) from our Game Boys. It was and will always be a part of our childhood. And then there came the Pokémon anime which focuses on a 10-year old boy, Ash Ketchum, and his adorable and everyone’s favorite, Pikachu to go on a journey and become the Pokémon Master and collect all kinds of Pokémon. These opened the eyes of the kids from the 90’s to a new world. And even up until now, the franchise still continues to take kids to an adventure.
