My Very First Job Interview

I had my very first on-the-job training interview yesterday. Of course, I was pretty nervous. It was a bit scary if it’s your first time and I was asking myself “what should I say?”, “Am I doing this right?”, and other thoughts like those. I just don’t know what I’ll say or if I was saying right the right things.

Well, when I entered the office, I was doing pretty well. I told them I have a scheduled interview for OJT at 2pm, so they handed me some papers and asked me to fill it up first. When I sat down and look at the paper, I noticed that it was an application form, so I did answer it. Then I also noticed that the following papers were exam papers. I honestly forgot about the written exam, but of course it was just an essay and all I had to bring for it was my common sense. But I just wrote whatever came in my mind and didn’t even try to count if I had reached the minimum number of sentences required. So I just handed it over when I felt that I was done with it.

For the interview, the question was quite simple, like “Tell me something about yourself”, “Are you involve in some school organizations?” and those kinds of questions, but still, I was so nervous that I tend to stutter. I was just saying what comes in my mind. I even ask to the interviewer to repeat one question. Urrgghhh! I felt really stupid.

I just wish that the next time I’ll have an interview, it’ll be a lot better than how I did that time.
