It’s Christmas time again.
Time to give all your presents and love to those people you care about. Time to
make peace with the people you hate (yeah right). Time to have your favorite
home cooked meals be prepared on the table. Time to snuggle by the fire while
drinking hot chocolate or sit on the couch while watching your favorite
Christmas movies.
Speaking of Christmas movies, here is the list of my top five must watch Christmas Movies:
Speaking of Christmas movies, here is the list of my top five must watch Christmas Movies:
5.
Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas
I’d seen “The Grinch” when I was just seven years old, and during that time, I’ve just started admiring Jim Carrey because of the Ace Ventura movies. I mean he’s a funny guy. Plus this movie is based from one of Dr. Seuss’ work of art. Honestly, I don’t know much about Dr. Seuss. I just know his works through the film adaptations. Still I guess it’s a plus one in why it should be part of the must-watch list. So go watch this movie or The Grinch would steal Christmas away from you.
4.
Jingle All the Way
Instead of terminating the evil time travelling robots or hunting a Predator, Schwarzenegger would rather go on a mission to find that one action figure for his son on Christmas. This comedy movie would surely be enjoyed by the whole family.
3. A
Christmas Carol
“A Christmas Carol” is probably one of the classic Christmas stories. It’s about this rich old guy, Ebenezer Scrooge, who is a really mean to others until he was visited by the three ghosts of Christmas. And the moral lesson is, of course… BE A GOOD PERSON!
There are two adaptation I would suggest. One is the animated film starring Jim Carrey. The other one is the television film starring Partick Stewart.
2. Tim
Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas
I’m a fan of Tim Burton, especially when he’s movies have Johnny Depp in it. But I’m still yet to see The Nightmare Before Christmas. This dark themed stop motion musical fantasy film is about the Pumpkin King, Jack Skellington, from Halloween Town who decided to take over Christmas. I really want to watch this one this year, while I’m in a very cold room so I could put my blanket on and drink hot coffee or chocolate. Anyone wants to join me? I’ll be Jack, you could be my Sally.
1.
Home Alone & Home Alone 2: Lost in New York
Young Macaulay Culkin, one of the faces of the 90’s, starred in two of the best Christmas movies of all time (well, at least for my own opinion). Home Alone 1 & 2 are two of my all time favorite movies. It’s quite annually that I see at least one of these two on our television screen. It’s like my Christmas wouldn’t be complete if I haven’t yet seen at least one of them during Christmas season. So Merry Christmas, you filthy animal… and a Happy new Year!
Well, that’s for my list. So go get your popcorn and set up your DVD player and have a very great Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
