AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2016: Cosplay Time!

AsiaPOP Comicon, or APCC, returned in Manila last August 26 – 28. It was a three-day event that geeks attended and celebrated. It was held at SMX Convention Center at SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City.

Tawas

Whenever the topic of a conversation is about personal paranormal experiences, one of the stories that my family usually puts on the table is about my youngest sister's two friends when she was really young.

It was around two decades ago, for some reason, when my mom was pregnant with my youngest sister, she went to have this "tawas" reading. Strangely enough, the molten wax formed a shape of a young boy and an older girl, that were watching over the baby.

Face Swap

It was four in the afternoon. I was chilling in my room. Playing with my cellphone, just to kill the time. Alone. A usual thing that I do.

I figured I should take some snaps, so I opened Snapchat, and switched to front camera. I pressed my face on the screen so I could activate the animated filters. The filters appeared so I scrolled to see what were available that time. I saw some of the filters that I like; the beagle one, the one that makes your face shrink, the puking rainbow, and the angel/devil filter.

I am still losing my head,

Turn Me into a Comic Book Character

One goal in life is to have a fiction character to be created that was inspired by me. Whether it is in video games, comics, cartoons, or anything, I want to have a character that is “me”.

I decided to dress up as my own version of Glenn Rhee (The Walking Dead) for Halloween. I didn’t go to a party. I just dressed up, though honestly, I personally think it sucks.

Complication City

I fly over Complication City,

And the eyes are all over, but never on me,

But there’s a sun who stares from beneath,

So I’ll gamble until our sight will meet.

Fly too close and you will burn,

Ashes to the wind and lesson learned,

But fly too far and you’ll freeze to death,
