Whenever the topic of a conversation is about personal paranormal experiences, one of the stories that my family usually puts on the table is about my youngest sister's two friends when she was really young.
It was around two decades ago, for some reason, when my mom was pregnant with my youngest sister, she went to have this "tawas" reading. Strangely enough, the molten wax formed a shape of a young boy and an older girl, that were watching over the baby.
Few years later, my sister had two friends we couldn't see, of course at first we thought they were just imaginary friends, since it was common for her age. But when she described her friends, she said that one was a young boy, and the other was a teenage girl. They matched the shape of the wax. If I remember it correctly, their names were “Nis” (the girl) and “Pongkan” (the boy). Strange names.
What's creepier was we used to hear footsteps from the second floor even though no one was upstairs. We just tried to coexist with them and tried not to anger them since they weren't causing us harm anyway. And we often say goodbye to them whenever we leave to show our respect and ask them to watch over the house.
We used to live in an old house, so we believed in the possibility that spirits or other elemental beings were living among us.
Nowadays, my sister doesn’t remember having those two friends that she used to always play with and talk about.
