Assassin’s Creed is full of historical events and key figures, though it adds its own twist to the past. Playing these games will teach you a thing or two about history.
I’m a fan of the Assassin’s Creed videogame series. I like these games so much, though I had only finished three AC games so far; Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed: Revelation, and Assassin’s Creed III. And the other AC games are still on my “to-play” list. And I really want to see an Assassin’s Creed game that is set here in my home country, Philippines.
Earlier, while I was browsing the net, I figured I’ll give the “Assassin’s Creed Wiki” website a visit. I thought to myself, “Why not try to see if I’ll get a result if I search my own country.” So I did searched “Philippines”, and I was glad that my home country was included in the AC universe, even if it was just a small part.

I then tried to look for some fan made Philippine Assassin’s Creed images, and I found this;

I also saw from another image that Ubisoft seemed interested with the idea. And I also read somewhere in the internet that they are planning to make and release the Philippine Assassin’s Creed, “Assassin’s Creed: Rebellion”. Though I feel more negative about this and that this is just another internet hoax. Not gonna get my hopes up anytime soon.

Still, seeing that fan made cover art, made me think of my own ideas for the game. I thought of some ways the story could turn out, and how the historical figures could have a connection with the main character and with the Assassin-Templar war. I even thought that this could span into three games; The Spanish era/The Philippine Revolution, The Filipino-American war, and The Japanese era.
I was thinking that the protagonist will be a Filipino-Spanish assassin, kind of like Connor from Assassin’s Creed III. The Spaniards, under the control of The Templars, took over The Philippine Islands to look for the Pieces of Eden scattered and hidden all over the country. Though under the control of The Templars, The Assassin’s influence still entered the country to fight against The Templars. This will be my own plot for the game. And by the way, the protagonist will meet and befriend historical figures that will become his allies and will also be members of the Assassin’s brotherhood, such as Dr. Jose Rizal, Apolinario Mabini, Juan Luna, Andres Bonifacio, General Emilio Aguinaldo, etc.
For the Filipino-American war, I haven’t thought of an idea except for the one that President Emilio Aguinaldo will betray the Assassin Order and side himself with The Templars. And the main ally of the protagonist will probably be General Antonio Luna. Well, I watched and love the movie,“Heneral Luna”, so there.
For the Japanese Era, hmmm… I don’t know. Maybe make the Japanese invaders into Templars and the protagonist this time is the son of the main character from the two previous Philippine Assassin’s Creed. That would do, I guess.
Well, here are some ideas. I just hope that this reaches Ubisoft or whoever is/are in charge with making the AC games. Or even if they won’t be able to see this or go with the same idea as mine, I still hope they would turn the “Philippine Assassin’s Creed” into a reality.
