The brothers are back!
Last week, Jonas Brothers made a comeback and released a music video for the brand new single, Sucker. This is their first song after their break up last 2013, and their fans just lost it. It made their fans feel like they're back in high school singing songs like, Burnin’ Up, or S.O.S. on the top of their lungs while dancing like Joe, and hitting that falsetto like Nick.
I, myself, am a big fan of the Jonas Brothers. They are one of the reason I really got into music, playing instruments, and help me realize that I can write songs as well. I used to always wait for their songs to be played on MTV, MYX, and Channel V, and used to listen to their songs on my iPod, like everyday back in high school.
So I’m listing down my top five favorite Jonas Brothers songs:
5) 6 Minutes
Okay, so technically, this a LFO cover song, but I'm still counting this one.
6 Minutes is part of their first studio album, It's About Time. It's basically a song about a love at first sight experience with a girl. It's that moment when you're in a room full of people but you got your eyes stuck on one person, and all you're wishing is get noticed by her and to talk to her, before you ultimately miss your chance. I bet a lot of us had this experience at least once. I know I have.
4) Please Be Mine
One of the most heart-melting songs that this band ever released. Please be Mine, also from It's About Time album, is like trying to prove your love to a special someone, even if things are difficult, even if there are people who are against it.
I really like the line "I can't stop the rain from falling. I can't stop my heart from calling you." It shows that you're really into that special person and you just can't help falling for him/her.
3) Hold On
Your girl left you? Just hold on! Your heart got broken? Just hold on! You're having serious life problems? Just hold on!
That's basically what this song is trying to tell. Just keep on holding on and keeping it together. That's why I like Hold On. If you're facing a heavy problem and you feel that things are hopeless, just don't give up and continue being strong.
Hold On was released on May 22, 2007, and is from their self-titled second studio album, Jonas Brothers. This is one of the songs that I listen to whenever I'm feeling kinda down.
2) When You Look Me in the Eyes
So who doesn't like looking in the eyes of a special someone? This song is downright romantic. A song that will serenade your heart. It has the lyrics of things you would want to say to someone you're passionately in love with. The song itself will make you want to fall in love.
When You Look Me in the Eyes was released in January 25, 2008, and is also part of their second studio album.
1) Fly with Me
Just like most of their other songs, Fly with Me is a song that doesn't shy away from igniting emotions. It's another Jonas Brothers song that can make you fall in love even more. Just like the love shared between Peter Pan and Wendy, things will feel better with that special someone if you both believe and have each other.
Fly with Me is the second single from their fourth studio album, Lines, Vines and Trying Times, and it was released on June 9, 2009.
Jonas Brothers is an American pop rock band composed of Joe Jonas (Vocals, Guitar, Keyboards), Nick Jonas (Vocals, Guitars, Bass, Keyboards, Drums, Percussion), and Kevin Jonas (Guitar, Bass), and was formed in 2005. Their latest single, Sucker, was released on March 1, 2019.
