It’s been a while since I
last joined a basketball league, but thanks to the comics community, I had
finally joined a team and play the sport that I love.
The theme of the tournament was “Inhumans vs X-Men” or IvX, and it was the fourth inter-group tournament which was hosted by The Comic Brook group. This was a one-day tournament and was held at Pasay City Sports Complex, last November 13.
To be honest I wasn’t following the IvX story line, though I’m very familiar with both The Inhumans and The X-Men, as well as other characters from the Marvel Comics. And I just really wanted to play basketball.
I was almost not able to join the tournament because I found out about it less than a week before the event. Luckily I still found a group that still welcomes geeks that is eager to play. And that is The Dark Knight PH (TDKPH), a Philippine-based group that focuses on Batman and everything Batman related. And our team was The All New Inhumans.
I didn’t know any of the players in the team when I was accepted, but at least they’re new faces for me so I’ll make new friends.
During the tournament, I was able to play and had a lot of playing time since we lacked players, though I suck than usual. Maybe because it’s been a long while since I last played basketball or do some running.

We played two games, but unfortunately we ended up at last place. But I had so much fun though.
