Cursing

Have you ever had your mind wake up before your body does? When your whole body is asleep, even your eyes, but you think that you're already awake, so your mind makes up a scenario that mirrors reality, and at times, it's not a pleasant scenario... it's terrifying

I had sleep paralysis in my dream, and I thought I was already fully awake.

It's like in horror films, when the character is having a bad dream and then he wakes up, thinking he's already awake, yet couldn't move an inch, and something is creeping up on him, and then he wakes up again for real.

What I remember in my dream was I was in my uncle's house. It's basically an old family house. I was walking down the stairs, seemingly just waking up. there were a lot of people, apparently, they were friends of my sister, but I had never seen any of their faces before, but I didn't really question it. And in this dream, we were supposed to attend a party of some sort later that night. My girlfriend was in this dream as well, she seemed tired and sleepy, well so was I, at least that was how I felt.

There was also a part in my dream where there was an infected cat that suddenly had its back open up, exposing its innards. I just couldn't remember where exactly in my dream it was, maybe it was from a way earlier dream scenario. What I remember from this part was that I was aghast by the gore.

Anyway, so there were a lot of people in the house, and one of them approached me and told me that she knows someone that I know. I asked who it was. Funny thing is that she said "Pikachu", but I just assumed it was sort of a nickname or username, and thought maybe it was an artist or cosplayer that I know or acquainted with. I then asked her what the real name is, and she didn't know. The atmosphere suddenly shifted into an exuberant one like we are having a game night, and everyone joined in trying to help me guess who the person was.

We were all having fun as if we were playing charades, as I tried to guess the description of the person, the height, body size, hairstyle, hair color, etc., while one guy from the group was sketching the person as if we were trying to identify a suspect to a police sketch artist. Then when he handed me the paper, he told me to read it, passing it as part of the game we apparently were playing. What I saw on the paper shocked me. It was an image of a black haired girl, someone I don't think I've ever seen before. And there were symbols like the ones in rituals and curses. There were written words in there, but I couldn't make them up but I remember reading the word "Curse". He wanted me to curse the girl in that image. The image also was something like from a missing person poster. The atmosphere shifted again, this time into something more eerie, like a sudden horror movie plot twist. The vibe becomes darker. I didn't read what was written, aside from the word "Curse". I stopped myself. I put the paper down. I thought to myself, "was this whole 'game' just a ruse for me to unwittingly curse a girl?"

I got really mad. I moved away from the group, my girlfriend was in that group, by the way. She wasn't part of them. She was just with us.

I was still mad so I went back to the group, wanting to kick the guy out of the house for making me cast a curse on someone. He apparently moved away from the group as well. I looked for the paper but another guy told me, that the guy probably took it with him to throw it away, so he can hide the evidence.

The group was still lively though, but the atmosphere was still eerie. My girlfriend was on the couch, still tired and sleepy. She was sat in the middle of the group, as the group continued to talk and laugh. My mom was there and I told her that I was just gonna take my girlfriend to my room so she could rest properly. So I picked her up and went upstairs. Oddly enough, in real life, I don't have my own room in that house, and the second floor is basically unhabitable at this point, like we don't stay and sleep on the second floor, and we only use it for storing things. But apparently, in this dream, my room was the one at the left side corner, so we went in there. But the room looked more like her room in real life. Anyway, I put her on the bed, turned the electric fan on, gave her a hug, and when I was about to go back down, I suddenly woke up... that was what I thought.

I heard a creaking sound, as if the cabinet door slowly swung open. I opened my eyes. I couldn't move. But I was in my room this time. My vision was hazy. I felt very tired. My eyes seemed to shutter, and I found it difficult to keep them open, but I was still really sleepy. It felt real. I felt real. The room looked and felt real. I knew in my head that I just had a nightmare about casting a curse on someone, that what happened before was just a bad dream, and that I was already waking up, but I just couldn't move for some reason. Was I just really tired? Or am I in a sleep paralysis position again. And then I glanced at the corner of the room, a lady in white and black hair was standing. Her face was covered by her hair. This was scary. I closed my eyes and opened them, but she was still there. I couldn't move so I just closed my eyes and was thinking of just going to sleep. But I thought that she might not go away, and might even hover closer and stare right in front of my face. Sleeping was off the table then. I had to move,  still couldn't. She was still there. I got frustrated. I was even trying hard to have both my middle fingers up to insult the white lady. Trying to show her that I wasn't afraid of her. I couldn't tell if I was successful. I couldn't move. I was fighting to move. Trying hard to move. My arms didn't feel like they were moving. My vision was still hazy. Still, it felt real. I tried to grab the table beside my bed to help pull myself up. I couldn't grab it. Until I suddenly was able to. It felt like I was pulling myself up from a cliff. I felt so heavy. Vision was still unclear. I woke up again.

I was laying on my bed again. Debating to myself if what just occurred was real or not. There wasn't anyone else in my room. I felt heavy but it was just as if I was just really tired... exhausted, but nothing too unusual. I could move now. I thought to myself that the last thing I remember was me sitting on my bed after struggling to move myself, so that could have been a dream as well, because I was no longer sitting on my bed but laying down again. Still, that felt truly real. I thought those kinds of dreams only happen in horror films.
