My Game Boy Games (Game Boy Tribute Post)

Every gamer has their very first console that is memorable to them and will have them looking back and reminisce.

I remember being a little kid holding that brick-like gaming system in my tiny hands, bringing it almost anywhere I go.

I remember asking my parents for batteries so I can power up my handheld device and play my 8-bit games. And whenever those batteries dries down, I sunbathe them under the bright sun for them to recharge using some solar energy.

I remember that retro 8-bit graphics on such a tiny screen, and the struggle to find a perfect angle to have a good light to be able to see my game.

I remember blowing the cartridge of my games whenever they were not starting up properly.

Game Boy was the gaming console that introduced me to the world of gaming. It was the very first gaming system that I ever owned.

I was still a noob back then, but I kept on turning that tiny switch on to hear that clink as Nintendo slides down the screen. I kept on playing. Even though I had so much difficulty traversing through Sarasaland as Super Mario, taking back Mario’s castle in Mario Land from Wario, fighting against gym leaders with my Pikachu and Charmander, or whipping my way to Dracula, I kept on playing, and I enjoyed every single second of it.

Here are the games that summarized my Game Boy experience:
