The Lady that Aphrodite Envies

I don’t know how to start this poem,
To make you feel that you’re not alone,
That I’ll be here for you,
Under the moon of blue.

Hope this may not sound deceiving,
Or somewhat sound comical,
But my heart keeps on beating,
For a girl that is so wonderful.

To rhyme is easy,
To sing would be the other way,
But if you will be doing it with me,
I’ll sing my lungs out every day.

What a beautiful face!
The proper phrase to tag on each gaze,
And even though there are a lot to be checked,
You already seem so perfect.

Many boys wish to be with you,
Many girls hope to be just like you,
Even the goddess Aphrodite,
Is suffering from a great envy.

What’s the use of the stars at night?
If you’re already there, shining so bright,
With your eyes I call a beautiful sight,
And your hands I wanna hold so tight.

Call me a dreamer, I know it’s true,
‘Cause I wish so big, I wish to have you
But would this stay forever as a fantasy?
Or maybe someday there will be a “you and me”.

If fate would be so cruel to me,
That being with you wouldn’t be my destiny,
I guess I’d rather have an eternal slumber,
And stay in my dreams with you forever.

Does a guy like me have a chance with you?
I hope “yes” would be the answer for that question,
If you’ll say “no”, I don’t know what to do,
‘Cause darling, you’re my dear, you’re my inspiration.

I think it’s time to end this poem,
If it’s not enough, I’ll send you more on your phone,
‘Cause I got plenty more, just tell me, alright?
But for now, may you have a sweet goodnight.
